Peter Jones • Peter Jones Gallery

Peter Jones spent the last 25 years putting the “art” into the Arts and Industry of Ravenswood. His gallery has nurtured hundreds of artists, from allowing them to practice figure drawing on Sunday mornings to renting them studio space, to mounting full exhibitions of their work. Peter’s patronage also included a 40-seat theatre that has seen uncountable performances and has been home to both the Black Forest and Eleffant Foot Theatre Companies. One of Chicago’s most popular secrets, Jason Trusty’s Puppet Bike, has called the gallery home as well. Peter’s love for the arts and his efforts to sustain an art community has been central to the artistic growth of the Ravenswood corridor.
