ArtWalk 2011 Kids Activity Area!

 

Saturday, October 1st 

11am-7pm

Liz Kantorski, founder and designer of Balance Boards & Beams, will be making miniature balance boards, spin boards and other kid initiated creations from leftover bbb wood and fabric. There will also be the full collection of balance boards and beams to play on, along with her new blocks and sideways rocking chairs! Alix Gnoske, Recycle Me & Author of Loui Save The Earth, will be doing a reading in the RAW Kids Area  “How to Be a Superhero for Planet Earth’.  Book signing following in the MOE kids area.

“In a world of discarded trash, it only takes one small voice to make a difference for wildlife. A young boy, Loui speaks up to help the earth.

Sunday, October 2nd

2pm-3pm

Diane Ponder, Curator & Co-Founder of MOE and The Convergence Project, will lead a cooperative group project with kids of all ages . It will include materials and a large surface to paint on using unusual tools of all kinds. Afterwards, it will be hung for others to view this art.   Her Peace Tower will be present for ideas of peace to be displayed throughout the weekend.  It will include various kid’s art projects.  Let’s get Creative  and go outside the box http://www.dianeponder.com

Sunday, October 2nd

11am-6pm

The Art Lab http://www.artlab123.com  will be represented with flag making in the Mimi’s Organic Exchange (MOE)  http://www.mimisorganicexchange.com  and The Convergence Project  http://www.theconvergenceprojectinc.com  Area. Supplies have been generously donated by Dennis Jose.  Kids Chalk will be available for kids of all ages (including the adults)! Supervised painting projects using brushes and latex paint are ready to go and waiting for the collaboration of beautiful colors.
