9th Annual Ravenswood ArtWalk

Over 300 Artists and Businesses are participating in the 9th Annual Tour of Arts & Industry in the Ravenswood Corridor. This self -guided tour of open studios, galleries and spaces along the historic Ravenswood Corridor is the annual kick off to the 15th Annual Chicago Artists Month.

Central Gallery-4201 N. Ravenswood: Central Gallery will feature one piece of each participating artist’s work. The gallery is stop #1 on our map.

Street Gallery–4540 N. Ravenswood: An outdoor art gallery featuring large scale works by RAW artists.  In addition to the finished paintings, there will be live graffiti artists producing art on location on some of the panels.

Kids Gallery–4619 N. Ravenswood: Ravenswood Elementary School is hosting this year’s kids’ activity area with live music, craft projects and a gallery featuring artwork from the students at Ravenswood Elementary School.

The Raven Project–4226 N. Ravenswood: A multi-artist project that features each artist’s unique interpretation of The Raven. The Raven Project will be located in the Ravenswood Health Center.

Old Town School Of Music Stage–4147 N. Ravenswood: Five live outdoor performances showcasing the diverse talent of Old Town School Of Music teachers and students on Saturday, October 3.

Performance Artists: Please check the performance schedule for musicians, puppeteers, dancers, swordsmen, spoken word and the like in a special event section of our map.

Architectural Trolley Tour: A free trolley, sponsored by Alderman Gene Schulter of the 47th Ward, will be running continuously throughout the weekend. On board will be a representative from Ravenswood Lake View Historical Association highlighting the architectural significance and historical information on the multitude of buildings that are in the Ravenswood Corridor.

Outdoor Food Vendors: Local restaurants will be strategically placed to keep you refreshed as you tour over 50 venues along the corridor.

Satellite Venues: In addition to the 50 venues located along the trolley route, we will have two satellite venues. To the south is Cornelia Arts Building featuring over 30 open artists studios and to the north, Metropolitan Brewery has teamed up with Koval Distillery to host artists in a one-of-a-kind gallery experience.

Opening Reception Awards Ceremony will honor John Wertymer, owner of the Cornelia Arts Building, and Bau Graves of Old Town School Of Music. The Awards Ceremony is Friday, Oct. 1 at 4011 N. Ravenswood Ave., 7 to 10 p.m.

Transportation: Easy access through public transportation including: Brown Line Stations (Addison, Irving Park and Montrose). Metra Station at Lawrence, 80 Irving Park Bus, and Free Trolley will stop throughout the route. There are bike racks throughout the corridor and free street parking.
